Ferghana and Leningrad Region Expand Trade Cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Hokim of Ferghana Region, Khayrullo Bozorov, held a meeting with the Governor of Russia’s Leningrad Region, Alexander Drozdenko, on the sidelines of the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia,” taking place in Tashkent.

During the talks, the sides discussed prospects for expanding interregional cooperation, with particular focus on industrial collaboration, investment engagement, and the introduction of modern technologies.

It was noted that the exhibition serves as an important platform for deepening business ties and facilitating the exchange of experience between regions and countries.

The parties also separately considered issues related to trade and economic partnership, as well as the establishment of safe, orderly, and legal labor migration mechanisms.

Following the meeting, Ferghana Region and Leningrad Region signed a cooperation agreement covering trade, economic, scientific, technical, and socio-cultural areas.

The document is aimed at developing practical cooperation and implementing joint projects between the two regions.
