Fatal Car Crash in Tashkent Claims Matiz Driver’s Life

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A fatal traffic accident occurred on the morning of March 15 in the Almazar district of Tashkent.

The collision took place around 05:00 at the intersection of Sebzar and Nurafshon streets, according to the press service of the city’s Road Safety Directorate (UBDD) under the Tashkent City Police Department.

Preliminary reports indicate that a Lacetti and a Matiz collided. The driver of the Matiz sustained severe injuries and later died in the hospital.

A criminal case has been opened under Part 2 of Article 266 of the Criminal Code — violation of traffic rules or vehicle operation resulting in a person’s death. Investigations are ongoing to determine the full circumstances of the incident.
