Enterprises of ferrous metallurgy produce goods worth 838.7 billion soums

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In the first half of 2014 industrial enterprises of ferrous metallurgy of Uzbekistan produced goods worth 838.7 billion soums, which grew by 10.3% year-on-year.

The State Statistics Committee said that the share of the sector in industrial ouput was 3.4% in the first half of 2014 against 2.3% in the same period of 2013.

Industrial enterprises increased production of bars and rods from non-alloyed steel - by 7.5%, steel welded round tubes for oil and gas - by 26.5%, and special shaped profiles of non-alloyed steel - by 29.5%.
