Direct Flights to Launch Between Tashkent and Amman

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Regular direct flights are launching between the capitals of Uzbekistan and Jordan, with Jordanian national carrier Royal Jordanian Airlines operating the new route.

According to the Dunyo news agency, the establishment of the direct air corridor aims to boost bilateral business, humanitarian, and tourism contacts, as well as significantly increase passenger traffic between the two nations.

Under the approved flight schedule, the inaugural passenger flight is set for 30 June 2026.

Flight RJ196 will depart from Amman International Airport at 22:50 local time. The aircraft is scheduled to arrive at the Islam Karimov Tashkent International Airport the following day at 05:25 local time.

The official agreement to establish regular direct air communication between Tashkent and Amman was reached during bilateral talks between the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and King Abdullah II bin Al Hussein of Jordan, held in Samarkand in August 2025.

An important step toward simplifying logistics and encouraging mutual travel was the signing of an intergovernmental agreement on the total abolition of visa requirements. Under this document, a visa-free regime took effect on 25 September 2025, allowing citizens of Uzbekistan to stay in Jordan for up to 30 days without additional documentation.
