Denis Istomin advances to quarterfinals of SkiStar Swedish Open

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin became the quarterfinalist of the tournament SkiStar Swedish Open in Båstad (Sweden).

In the second round, Denis Istomin outplayed Nicolás Almagro of Spain in straight sets with the score 6:3 and 6:3.

The match lasted an hour and seven minutes. During the match, Denis Istomin recorded three break points and five aces, and no double faults. Almagro, in his turn, could not realize five break points and served six aces. He also registered four double faults.

In the quarterfinals, Istomin will play against the winner of the match between David Goffin (Belgium) and Benoît Paire (France).
