Customs officers seized 9.2 tons of narcotic drugs in 2023

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Customs officials of Uzbekistan stopped attempts to import 9.2 tons of narcotic drugs into the country in 2023. This was reported by the press service of the Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.

Compared to 2022, this figure increased by 8.4 tons or 12.3 times.

Also last year, customs officers discovered 650 thousand units of psychotropic and potent substances, as well as 8,778 weapons and explosives.
