Corporate procurement hit 706m soums at UZEX

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange (UZEX) summed up the first results of electronic trade on corporate procurement, which was organized in line with the presidential decree “On optimization of systems of electronic procurement and expand access of business to them”.

As of 9 September 2013, the volume of electronic trades on corporate procurement made up 706 million soums and the enterprises saved 90.4 million soums or 11.3% from starting price, the UZEX said in a statement.

The exchange said that 54 deals were concluded and average proposals made up four per deal. Maximum number of proposals for a deal was 22. About 88% of deals fell to share Tashkent city and Tashkent region.

About 68% of deals fell to share of office equipment, 9% - office maintenance, 6% - home appliances, 5%- cable products and 4% - construction materials.
