CNPC signs oil/gas cooperation agreement with Uzbekndftegaz

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), the parent companyof PetroChina, announced Wednesday on its website that it has signed an agreement on expanding cooperation in the oil and gas field with Uzbekndftegaz last Saturday.

The new agreement would serve as a supplement to the agreement signed between the two sides in October last year on joint exploration and development of the Mingulak oilfield in Uzbekistan.

CNPC also said its subsidiary China National Oil and Gas Exploration and Development signed a frame agreement with Uzbekndftegaz on setting up a joint venture to jointly develop another block. But details were not disclosed.
