Bukhara Tour Operators Explore Surkhandarya’s Potential

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Leading tour operators from Bukhara Region took part in an information tour of Surkhandarya Region aimed at promoting the area’s tourism potential and strengthening interregional cooperation.

During the trip, representatives of Bukhara’s tourism industry visited historical and cultural heritage sites in Surkhandarya, ancient pilgrimage sites, natural and ecotourism attractions, as well as the region’s tourism infrastructure.

Participants in the information tour were briefed on existing tourism routes, available opportunities and promising areas for the development of the sector in the region.

As part of the visit, a meeting was held between tour operators from Bukhara and Surkhandarya regions. The sides discussed developing joint tourism packages, promoting each other’s tourism products and increasing tourist flows between the two regions.

Following the meeting, participants proposed launching new tourism routes and expanding practical cooperation between tour operators from the two regions. Particular attention was given to increasing the number of tourists traveling from Bukhara Region to Surkhandarya.

Organizers expect the information tour to contribute to the mutual promotion of Bukhara and Surkhandarya’s tourism opportunities, strengthen cooperation among tourism businesses and expand domestic tourism offerings.
