Birth Statistics for 2025: Nearly 20,000 Sets of Twins and Over 550 Sets of Triplets or More in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — In 2025, a total of 879,599 children were born in Uzbekistan, the National Statistics Committee reported.
The majority of births — 859,065 — were singletons. During the year, 19,976 sets of twins and 558 sets of triplets or more were registered.
Thus, over 20,000 children were born into multiple-birth families, accounting for approximately 2.3% of all newborns in the country.
