Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — An earthquake has occurred on the territory of Uzbekistan. According to official data from the Republican Center for Seismic Prognostic Monitoring of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the tremors were recorded on 24 June 2026 at 21:07 local time.

The epicenter of the seismic event was located in the city of Kuvasay, Fergana region. The magnitude of the earthquake at its source was measured at 4, and the focus lay at a depth of 13 kilometers. Geographically, the epicentral point was situated at a distance of 251 kilometers in a southeasterly direction from the capital of the republic, Tashkent.

The intensity of the underground vibrations was felt across several eastern regions of the country with varying strength, depending on the distance from the epicenter. The tremors were most noticeable to the residents of the Fergana region, where the strength of the ground vibrations reached 3–4 points on the seismic scale at a distance of 14 kilometers from the epicenter.

The seismic activity also affected the neighboring Andijan region. In this area, located 63 kilometers away from the epicentral zone, instruments recorded weak echoes with an intensity of up to 2 points.
