All types of transport carried out 718.4 million tonnes of cargo

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In January-June 2017, 718.4 million tonnes of cargo were transported by all types of transport in Uzbekistan, which is 3.9% higher compared to the same period in 2016.

At the same time, cargo turnover reached 41.9 billion tonnes-km or 2.9% higher than the level of January-June 2016, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan reports.

Automobile vehicls transported 652.0 million tonnes of cargo, which is 4.1% more than in January-June 2016. Freight traffic of motor transport increased by 3.8% and amounted to 14.8 billion tonnes-km.

The freight turnover of motor transport of individual entrepreneurs exceeded the level of January-June 2016 by 4.5% and made up 11.1 billion tonnes-km.

The share of private cargo carriers in total volume of goods turnover of road transport reached 75.3% against 74.8% in January-June 2016.

Air cargo shipment was 13,200 tonnes, which is 6.6% more than in January-June 2016, cargo turnover increased by 28.1% and amounted to 74.2 million tonnes-km.

Throughput of main pipelines increased by 4.3% and reached 15.4 billion tonnes-km.
