Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan number one Akgul Amanmuradova suffered a defeat in the first round of Wimbledon, a Grand-slam tournament.

In the first round, Akgul Amanmuradova faced Venus Williams of the United States, who is five-times champion of the tournament.

Former world number one spent about an hour to claim a ticket to second round, defeating the Uzbek opponent in straight sets 6-3 and 6-1.
