AGMK Earns Copper Mark International Certifications

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The Almalyk Mining and Metallurgical Complex (AGMK) has received The Copper Mark and The Molybdenum Mark certifications issued by the Copper Mark organization, confirming compliance with international standards for responsible production of copper and molybdenum.

The certification confirms that the company’s operations meet established requirements in environmental, social, and production responsibility. AGMK has become the first enterprise in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to receive these international certifications.

As part of the certification process, the company underwent an international audit covering 32 assessment criteria. The audit resulted in positive evaluations across all areas, enabling confirmation of compliance with the Copper Mark initiative’s standards.

The certifications are seen as a significant step in enhancing the company’s international recognition and strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in the global metallurgy industry.
