Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — ADM Jizzakh and South Korean engineering company DK&G Co have signed an agreement for the supply and installation of industrial equipment for a new facility producing hybrid and electric vehicles.

The project represents an investment of approximately US$100 million. The plant will manufacture vehicles under the Chery, Haval and Changan brands, ADM Global reported.

The new production complex is currently under construction on the premises of ADM Jizzakh. Manufacturing will use completely knocked down (CKD) technology, covering the entire production cycle, from body welding and painting to final assembly and quality control.

A key feature of the facility will be its ability to manufacture vehicles from different brands on a single production line.

ADM Jizzakh and DK&G Co engineers will jointly develop the system. The universal assembly line will allow production to be adapted to different hybrid and electric vehicle models.

DK&G Co has previously participated in equipping ADM Jizzakh’s existing CKD production facility, where Kia vehicles with internal combustion engines are currently manufactured.

The South Korean company has extensive experience in designing and producing industrial equipment tailored to customers’ specific requirements.

Developing vehicles powered by new energy technologies (NEVs) is among ADM Global’s strategic priorities.

The company plans to introduce several new hybrid and electric vehicle models to the Uzbek market and gradually increase the share of locally produced components.
