About 1.2 million children in Uzbekistan will receive micronutrient powders for free

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The draft Presidential Decree “On the State Program for the Implementation of the Strategy “Uzbekistan - 2030” in the “Year of Support for Youth and Business” has been submitted for public discussion.

The document includes measures, which will be implemented in the healthcare system, including:

- preventive examination and health improvement based on its results for 12.6 million people aged 18 to 40 years;

- introduction of screening practices for early detection of kidney diseases;

- conducting mass and selective screening for early detection of oncohematological diseases of 9.8 million children aged 3 to 18 years;

- free provision of micronutrient powders to a total of 1.2 million children aged 6 to 23 months;

- creation of a mobile application on proper nutrition for the population, allowing them to control their health and nutrition.
