A road bridge collapsed in Samarkand region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In Urgut district of Samarkand region, a road bridge collapsed due to mudflows. This was reported by representatives of the press service of the district administration.

It is noted that on 21 March, due to intense rains, the load-bearing structures of the bridge, built in 1974 by local residents, became unusable and collapsed due to erosion of the coastal part.

Work is currently underway to restore the bridge.
