A citizen of Uzbekistan dies during earthquake in Istanbul

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A citizen of Uzbekistan died during the earthquake in Istanbul. This was reported by the press service of the General Consulate.

According to available information, the tragedy occurred on 23 April 2025. The man, who was living in one of the high-rise buildings in Istanbul, became a victim of heart failure caused by severe stress during the seismic tremors.

The Consulate General of Uzbekistan is taking all necessary consular-legal and organizational measures to quickly send the body back to the homeland. Sincere condolences have been expressed to the family and relatives of the deceased.
