2026 World Cup Draw: Uzbekistan Placed in Group K with Portugal and Colombia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan has learned its opponents for the group stage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.

The draw took place in Washington, D.C., and was attended by the Presidents of the United States and Mexico, the Prime Minister of Canada, as well as prominent football players and national team coaches, including Uzbekistan’s head coach, Fabio Cannavaro.

Following the draw, Uzbekistan was placed in Group K alongside Portugal and Colombia. The group will also include the winner of a playoff between New Caledonia, Jamaica, and Congo.

Uzbekistan will play its opening match on 17 June against Colombia, face Portugal on 23 June, and conclude the group stage on 27 June.
