World Cup: France ease past Honduras

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- France kicked of their 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil campaign with an easy victory over Honduras.

The match of the Group E ended with 3-0 victory of French side. Karim Benzema opened the score on 45 minutes from penalty kick.

France scored the second goal on 48 minutes. It is worth to mention that Goal Control technology was used for the first time in the tournament.

Benzema hit the post in this moment, but Honduras keeper Valladares carried the ball over the line. Goalline technology indicted that Benzema’s shot hadn’t crossed the line, before clarifying that Valladares mistake had.

However, Benzema finally bagged his second goal of the match on 72 minutes.
