World Bank: Uzbekistan’s GDP grows by 5.7% in 2022

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The economy of Uzbekistan grew by 5.7% in 2022. This is stated in the quarterly report of the World Bank “Global Economic Prospects”.

According to the forecasts of the bank’s experts, the level of growth of GDP in Uzbekistan in 2023 will be 4.9% and in 2024 - 5.1%.

In 2023, a recession in Russia and sluggish growth in China will negatively affect the level of economic activity in the countries of Central Asia, the report says. According to forecasts, this year the growth of the regional economy will reach 3.9%.
