Wildberries Launches Data Privacy Portal in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — E-commerce company Wildberries has launched a dedicated informational portal in Uzbekistan focused on the processing and protection of users’ personal data. The new resource is intended to improve customer awareness of how confidential information is handled.
The portal is available at privacy.wildberries.uz and allows users to clearly understand how the company processes personal data in Uzbekistan, as well as what tools are available for customers to control their information.
The website contains key information on data processing principles, practical examples of internal algorithms, and descriptions of confidentiality protection mechanisms. Its structure enables users to quickly access relevant information through a few simple navigation steps.
The development of the portal took into account Uzbekistan’s legislation on personal data protection.
Users can also directly contact the company regarding issues related to the processing of their information.
According to Wildberries’ director in Uzbekistan Akmal Primkulov, the launch of the resource is aimed at increasing transparency in data handling. He said the company seeks to explain complex processes in simple terms and ensure quick access to necessary information and feedback channels.
Wildberries said it pays attention not only to data protection but also to the development of digital literacy.
In addition to blocking harmful resources and improving its services, the platform promotes cybersecurity awareness across all countries where it operates. Similar informational portals have previously been launched in Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Russia.
