Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Wildberries has expanded product promotion opportunities for sellers from Uzbekistan. The RWB Media team presented new tools and updates to cost-per-click (CPC) campaigns at a business meeting with local entrepreneurs, the company's press service said.

One of the main updates is the expansion of CPC promotion options. Dmitry Krasnov, head of the promotion mechanics and algorithms department at RWB Media, said a new “Recommendations” placement zone had become available for selected subcategories.

Sellers can now promote products not only in search results and the catalogue, but also in collections displayed by the marketplace to users interested in relevant products.

CPC campaigns have also introduced daily spending limits, allowing sellers to set in advance the amount they are prepared to spend promoting a product listing during the day. The system does not exceed the specified threshold.

According to the company, this approach provides more precise control over spending and ensures a more even distribution of the budget. Wildberries also noted a positive impact of the mechanism on conversions and product-listing positions.

In addition, the first sellers from Uzbekistan have taken part in testing a second-price auction model in CPC campaigns.

Under this mechanism, the amount charged per click is based not on the winning bid, but on the bid of the nearest competitor with a small additional premium.

This model allows sellers to reduce the cost per click through the difference between their own bid and that of the nearest competitor. During the testing stage, the tool is available in search and recommendations for selected subcategories. The list is planned to be expanded in the future.

Sarvar Tukhtaev, head of partner development for Wildberries' promotion platform in Uzbekistan, highlighted the results of local sellers using the advertising tools.

According to Wildberries' local team, the turnover of Uzbek sellers who used promotion tools during the first year after their launch was five times higher than that of sellers who did not use such tools.

“Promotion on Wildberries provides real opportunities for business growth. The updates presented by the product team make promotion on Wildberries even more convenient and accessible,” Tukhtaev said.
