Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- In 2021, VEON intends to invest US$40 million in the development of Beeline Uzbekistan. VEON Chief Executive Officer Kaan Terzioglu announced this.

He noted that the company planned to invest US$40 million in Uzbekistan in 2020. But the volume of investments, despite the pandemic, amounted to US$50 million.

Kaan Terzioglu stressed that Uzbekistan is one of the most important countries in the region, and the company sees great potential for growth, as in the CIS countries as a whole.

“That is, we have room to grow, we see opportunities that need to be used in this country,” said Kaan Terzioglu.

Kaan Terzioglu announced the appointment of Andrzej Malinowski as the new CEO of Unitel LLC. He noted that one of the main goals of the Unitel CEO will be to improve the quality of customer service and introduce new services.

The VEON CEO said that mobile operators are focusing on the sale of minutes, SMS and gigabytes. He stressed that operators must provide the services the customers need.
