UZEX to pay dividends on ordinary shares

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan Commodity Exchange OJSC (UZEX) will pay dividends on its ordinary shares. The shareholders adopted corresponding decision.

In line with the decision, the UZEX will pay 31.6056 soums per ordinary share. Number of shares, on which the exchange will income, makes up 24,986,140.

Net income of UzEX decreased from 1.216 billion soums in 2008 to 1.128 billion soums in 2009.

UzEX was founded in line with the presidential decree from 28 February 1994. The exchange trades various commodities.

In 2009, over 320,847 deals were registered through the UzEX. Turnover of the UzEC made up 2.916 trillion soums or grew by 8.8% year-on-year.
