Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Toshkent Republican Stock Exchange summarized its trading results for the first half of 2026, reporting that a combined 490,365 transactions worth 6,937.69 billion soums were executed across the exchange and its unlisted trading platform.

During the reporting period, 280 issuers participated in trading, with the number of traded instruments reaching 335 over 120 trading days.

The main portion of turnover came from exchange trading proper, excluding the unlisted platform. Exchange trading recorded 419,971 transactions totaling 4.33 trillion soums (US$357.69 million) involving 87 issuers. Compared with the same period in 2025, the number of transactions increased by 130.87 percent, while trading volume declined by 25.33 percent.

Peak activity occurred in February, when transaction volume reached 1.45 trillion soums, driven almost entirely by the "Bond Market" segment on the "Main Board" platform.

The "Stock Market" segment generated 403,975 transactions involving securities from 72 issuers worth 937.70 billion soums over the six-month period, accounting for 21.66 percent of total exchange trading volume. Activity in this segment grew quarter over quarter: 169,269 transactions worth 264.38 billion soums were recorded in the first quarter, rising to 234,706 transactions worth 673.32 billion soums in the second quarter, while the number of traded securities increased nearly tenfold.

Aloqabank led the "Main Board" platform in the number of transactions with 34,910 trades, while the National Investment Fund of Uzbekistan led in trading volume with 40.85 billion soums. Among the most liquid securities, all listed issuers experienced price gains over the first half of the year, led by Uzsanoatqurilishbank shares, which surged 204 percent, followed by Ipoteka-bank and Kvarts, which both rose by more than 130 percent.

The "Bond Market" segment emerged as the largest by volume, recording 11,061 transactions involving securities from 13 issuers worth 3.29 trillion soums (US$270.70 million), representing 75.88 percent of total exchange turnover. Bonds issued by Asakabank generated the largest single transaction volume at 1 trillion soums, while securities from microfinance organization Agat Credit recorded the highest number of trades, with 6,947 transactions totaling 166.61 billion soums. In addition, 4,925 transactions worth 106.31 billion soums were executed through the EPTK broker system, primarily driven by initial public offerings.

During the reporting period, securities from 16 issuers were added to the official exchange quotation list, while securities from 11 issuers were removed due to bond redemptions, routine monitoring findings, or voluntary delistings.

As of the end of June, the quotation list included 154 instruments from 95 issuers. Total market capitalization of these issuers reached 428.06 trillion soums (US$35.49 billion), an increase of 50.39 percent since the beginning of the year. The UCI Index, which tracks overall stock market dynamics, rose 46.24 percent over the six-month period from 744.02 to 1,088.07 points.

Separately, the exchange reported on its unlisted trading platform, where 70,394 transactions worth 2,607.83 billion soums (US$216.31 million) were executed across securities from 201 issuers during the first half of the year. The highest daily transaction count occurred on 20 April 2026 with 1,137 trades, while the record daily volume was logged on 30 April 2026 at over 1.17 trillion soums. Uzsanoateksport JSC led the unlisted platform in total transactions, while Digital Business Agregator JSC led in trading volume.
