Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbek Republican Commodity Exchange (UZEX) has recorded its first six transactions involving the sale and purchase of personal mobile phone numbers between individuals, with the total value exceeding 13.5 million soums.
The transactions took place on UZEX's electronic trading platform between 18 and 22 October 2026. Individuals participating in the electronic auctions purchased the mobile numbers, including numbers belonging to mobile operators such as Beeline.
Some of the numbers sold featured memorable combinations of final digits, including "07 70" and "77 77".
The transactions mark a new stage in the development of UZEX's mobilraqam.uzex.uz platform, which allows users to buy and sell personal mobile numbers through electronic auctions and a "Quick Deal" service.
The platform enables users to participate in auctions remotely, settle payments and complete the re-registration of mobile numbers online.
This allows individuals to conduct transactions without having to be physically present at every stage of the trading process.
The development of this mechanism expands opportunities for individuals to manage and sell their personal mobile numbers while providing additional options for conducting such transactions electronically.
