Uzbekneftegaz and Baku Steel Company Discuss Pipe Deliveries

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Abdugani Sanginov, Chairman of the Board of the Uzbekneftegaz Joint Stock Company, held an official meeting with Kamal Ibragimov, General Director of Baku Steel Company, the largest metallurgical company in Azerbaijan.

The talks, organized on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, were dedicated to assessing the current state of the industrial dialogue and identifying new vectors for mutually beneficial partnership.

During the conversation, the executives placed special emphasis on the friendly and strategic nature of interstate relations between Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

The central theme of the discussion was a detailed analysis of the outcomes from the previous round of negotiations, which took place earlier in Baku.

In development of past agreements, the parties substantively reviewed a commercial proposal from Baku Steel Company concerning the organization of direct deliveries of high-quality pipe products for the needs of the oil and gas sector of Uzbekistan.

In addition to the procurement of metal products, the management of Uzbekneftegaz expressed high interest in deeply studying alternative promising areas of cooperation and launching new joint projects.

Following the investment forum, the meeting participants stated the importance of maintaining an open and constructive dialogue aimed at further systemic strengthening of production and cooperation ties between the industrial complexes of the two countries.
