From 1990 to 2018, cotton yields fluctuated between 20.6 and 27.6 centners per hectare. The lowest figure was recorded in 2003.
Yields began to rise in 2019, reaching 27.4 centners per hectare that year, 29.6 in 2020, 32.4 in 2021, 33.8 in 2022 and 36.6 in 2023. Until 2025, the 2023 figure remained the highest in the statistics.
The lowest total cotton harvest during the period was recorded in 2018, when Uzbekistan produced 2.31 million tonnes from 1.071 million hectares, with an average yield of 21.6 centners per hectare.
