Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — On 8 November, the Uzbekistan national team claimed one gold, two silver, and two bronze medals at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games in Riyadh.
The country’s only gold medal was secured by judoka Zamokhshari Bekmurodov in the under-66 kg category.
Silver medals went to Shakhram Akhadov in judo (under-73 kg) and swimmer Ilya Sibircev in the 1500-meter freestyle event.
Bronze medals were earned by judokas Laziza Khaydarova (under-48 kg) and Shukurjon Aminova (under-57 kg).
Team Uzbekistan currently ranks third in the overall medal standings, trailing only Türkiye and Indonesia.
