Uzbekistan U-20 Wins Two Matches at CAFA Tournament

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Under-20 national football team has made a strong start at the CAFA U-20 Championship, recording two consecutive victories in the opening rounds of the tournament.

In the first match, the team coached by Jamoliddin Rakhmatullaev defeated the Kyrgyz Republic 2–0. Ulugbek Maratov opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, while Sodikov extended the lead in the second half, scoring in the 77th minute.

In the second round, Uzbekistan again secured a 2–0 win, this time against Afghanistan. Nurbek Sarsenbaev put Uzbekistan ahead in the 20th minute, and Sodikov added a second goal three minutes later.

Uzbekistan U-20 will play its next match in the tournament on 17 May against Tajikistan U-20.
