Uzbekistan U-17 plays draw with Côte d’Ivoire

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Uzbekistan U-17 played its first match within the international tournament in Marbella, Spain, against Côte d’Ivoire U-17 on 30 September 2013, Uzbekistan Football Federation said.

The international football tournament with participation of four youth teams is taking place in Marbella, from 30 September to 4 October 2013. The tournament will be held ahead of the FIFA U-17 World Championship and Uzbekistan, Argentina, Mexico and Côte d’Ivoire are playing in the tournament.

Uzbekistan played a 0-0 draw in their first match against the African side Côte d’Ivoire U-17, the Uzbek federation said.

Today Dilshod Nuraliev’s side will face Mexico. On 4 October, Uzbekistan will play with Argentina.

Uzbekistan U-17 will play at the FIFA U-17 World Championship from 18 October to 8 November 2013 in the UAE. Uzbekistan is in Group C with Panama, Morocco and Croatia.
