Uzbekistan to Set Up Higher School of Integrated Programs

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan will create the Higher School of Integrated Programs to expand the implementation of international educational standards.

The relevant measures are provided for in presidential decree "On additional measures to implement secondary specialized, professional, and higher education programs in the republic based on international educational standards" (No. PP-269 of 17 July 2026).

The document provides for the further development of the system of integrated educational programs implemented in cooperation with the British educational organization IQF (Integrated Qualifications Framework). The Center for International Qualifications and Assessment was previously created for these purposes.

Under the decree, additional tasks have been assigned to the Center to align integrated educational programs with the academic requirements of foreign universities ranking in the top 100 of the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) or Times Higher Education (THE) global rankings.

The Center will also develop "1+3" and "2+2" educational models for bachelor's degree programs, as well as a "1+1" model for master's degree programs. These programs are expected to be recognized by foreign universities included in the top 100 global rankings.

In addition, the Center will prepare agreements on establishing campuses, branches, franchises, educational program implementation centers, and other structures in Uzbekistan focused on issuing diplomas from leading foreign higher education institutions.

As part of an experiment, the Higher School of Integrated Programs will be established under Tashkent University of Architecture and Civil Engineering.

Its activities are aimed at introducing integrated educational programs using advanced experience from the United Kingdom.
