Uzbekistan to invest US$5.91m to modernize Sifat Center
The document was adopted to ensure dynamic and sustainable development of national system of cotton-fibre certification, increase competitiveness of Uzbek cotton and gain trust of buyers in international market.
The Government agreed with proposal of Sifat Center on re-equipment of national system of assessment of cotton fibre quality with high effective automated systems of HVI and corresponding equipment.
According to the programme, Uzbekistan will direct US$5.908 million to introduction of national system of assessment of cotton fibre quality with high effective automated systems of HVI and corresponding equipment.
The resolution said that the programme will be financed due to own resources of Sifat Center, received from rendering services on certification and weighing cotton products.
