Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — From 29 August to 8 September 2025, Uzbekistan will once again become the stage for a major football event—the second season of the CAFA Nations Cup.

Following a successful debut last year, the tournament is returning on a larger scale and promises to deliver even more thrilling matches and sporting excitement for fans.

Uzbekistan’s national team, having qualified for the World Cup, will once again take the field in this prestigious regional competition. This season sees an expanded lineup of participants: in addition to the permanent members of the Central Asian Football Association—Iran, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Kyrgyzstan—the tournament will welcome Malaysia and Oman as invited guest teams.

Group stage matches will be held simultaneously in Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The final match will take place in Uzbekistan, where the winner of the second season of the CAFA Nations Cup will be crowned.
