Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Innovation and startup parks will be established across Uzbekistan’s regions to support entrepreneurs, develop innovative projects and promote the adoption of scientific developments.
The measures are предусмотрены by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 553 of 9 October 2026, “On Measures to Organize the Activities of the Park of Innovation and Startup Projects.”
The startup parks will operate as state institutions within the Innovation Development Agency under the Ministry of Education and Science.
Their activities will focus on providing comprehensive support to startups and manufacturers of innovative products, as well as developing the necessary material, technical and engineering infrastructure.
Business incubation and acceleration programmes are planned for the parks.
Entrepreneurs will be able to access organizational, legal, financial and marketing services in one place.
The parks will also assist with the certification and registration of innovative products, intellectual property protection, promotion of goods in domestic and foreign markets, and participation in exhibitions in Uzbekistan and abroad.
The Ministry of Education and Science will establish cooperation between the parks, higher education institutions and startup studios operating under them. The governments of Karakalpakstan, the regions and Tashkent will identify districts and cities for the parks, taking local initiatives into account.
The Innovation Development Agency will coordinate the activities of the new institutions.
Production facilities within the parks are planned to be leased through electronic online auctions.
The startup parks will be financed through income from commercial activities and rental payments, funds from local governments, international grants and other sources not prohibited by law.
