Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree titled "On Measures for Effective Utilization of Investment Opportunities in Land Resources for Entrepreneurial and Urban Development Activities."

The decree introduces new conditions for the payment of land acquisition costs. For non-agricultural land, acquisition is permitted either through ownership or lease, while agricultural land can be leased with monthly installments, accruing interest based on the Central Bank’s main rate.

Payment conditions are as follows:

- In Tashkent, Nukus, and regional centers: Payment over 3 years with at least 35% of the initial payment due within 15 working days.

- In other settlements: Payment over 5 years, and in districts of the 4th and 5th categories, over 10 years, with at least 15% of the initial payment due within 15 working days.

Additionally, a 20% discount on the total amount will be provided for full payment within 15 working days.

Local administrations will have the authority to engage project organizations for urban planning of industrial zones and settlement areas, including new residential and commercial complexes. The selection of project organizations will be based on the best proposals.
