Uzbekistan to create database of debtor for energy resources
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On additional measures to increase the effectiveness of the activities of the prosecutor’s office in ensuring the implementation of the adopted regulatory and legal acts” on 15 February 2018.
The decree said that individuals and legal entities included in the database of debtors have no right to make major transactions and receive certain types of financial and credit services, international transportation services and public services.
The Bureau of Compulsory Enforcement at the General Prosecutor’s Office obtained the right to carry out an indisputable cancellation of the debt for the energy resources delivered to consumers from the bank accounts, linked to plastic cards, each month.
The amount of write-off will not exceed two minimum wages.
