Uzbekistan Signs Agrotech Memorandum at INNOPROM Expo

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — During the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia” held in Tashkent, a memorandum of cooperation was signed in the agricultural sector aimed at introducing modern technologies into farming practices.

The agreement was concluded between the National Center for Knowledge and Innovation in Agriculture under the Ministry of Agriculture of Uzbekistan and Russia’s JSC “SIBUR Holding.” The partnership focuses on applying innovative solutions based on polymer materials in agricultural production.

Under the memorandum, the parties plan to develop water-saving technologies, improve storage and processing systems for agricultural products, and introduce advanced approaches to crop cultivation both in open fields and greenhouse conditions.

The cooperation also includes knowledge exchange between specialists, the launch of pilot projects, and adaptation of international best practices to local agricultural conditions.

Officials said the initiative is expected to contribute to improving efficiency and accelerating technological modernization in Uzbekistan’s agriculture sector.
