Uzbekistan Showcases Investment Potential in Nanjing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 29 April, a large-scale roadshow and business meeting with leading Chinese companies was held in the city of Nanjing. The Uzbek delegation was led by Ilzat Kasimov, Deputy Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan in cooperation with the Export-Import Bank of China (China Exim Bank).

It brought together executives and experts from more than 70 major corporations included in the list of China’s 500 largest companies.

During the presentation, the Uzbek side showcased the country’s investment opportunities, industrial capacity, and key directions of economic development.

Special emphasis was placed on the investment attractiveness of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Jizzakh region, and the city of Tashkent.

Participants were also introduced to new promising initiatives aimed at expanding economic cooperation and attracting capital into priority sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy. Chinese partners, in turn, shared experience from ongoing projects already being implemented in the country.

Following the meeting, both sides noted that the event served as an important platform for strengthening bilateral economic relations and expanding investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and China.
