Belarus and Uzbekistan Launch First 'Slavic Caravan' Train

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The first direct block train, named "Slavic Caravan," departed from Orsha-Vostochnaya station in Belarus toward Chukursay station in Uzbekistan on 30 July 2026.

The launch of the new rail service was implemented under agreements reached during the state visit of the President of Uzbekistan to Belarus on 9 July 2026.

According to Uztemiryo'lcontainer JSC, the train—consisting of a conventional length of 71 cars—carries wood processing products, sugar, food items, compound feed, and other cargo. At the initial stage, the train is scheduled to run twice a month.

The new service is expected to increase freight volumes between Belarus and Uzbekistan, develop transport and logistics links, and further strengthen trade and economic cooperation between the two countries.

Uztemiryo'lcontainer JSC stated its readiness to provide comprehensive transport and logistics services along this route for import and export cargo, offering customers reliable international transport services.
