Uzbekistan, Seychelles sign cooperation agreement
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Talks between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of the Republic of Seychelles Barry Faure were held in Tashkent on 1 May.
The sides discussed prospects for the steady development of bilateral relations, including strengthening political dialogue and establishing permanent mechanisms of interaction between the foreign ministries of the two countries.
Special attention was paid to expanding cooperation in trade, economic, and tourism sectors, as well as exchanging views on current issues on the international agenda.
Following the meeting, a General Cooperation Agreement between the governments of Uzbekistan and Seychelles was signed.
The document formalizes agreements on developing cooperation and creating new formats of partnership.
Both sides expressed confidence that the reached agreements will contribute to further strengthening bilateral relations and elevating cooperation to a new level.
