Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 16 June 2026, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan and Minister of Economy and Finance Djamschid Kuchkarov held talks in Tashkent with a Saudi Arabian delegation led by Khalid Al-Khattaf, Chief Executive Officer of the Saudi Investment Promotion Agency.

The meeting was attended by Chairman of ACWA Power Muhammad Abunayyan and Chief Executive Officer of Vision Invest Omar Al-Midani.

The sides discussed the current state of investment cooperation between Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia, the implementation of joint projects, and priority areas for further engagement.

Special attention was given to the participation of the Saudi delegation in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, initiatives presented within its framework, and the expansion of contacts between business communities of the two countries.

During the talks, it was noted that Uzbekistan is carrying out systematic work to improve the investment climate, create favorable conditions for foreign investors, develop public-private partnership mechanisms and implement large-scale infrastructure projects.

The discussions also covered ongoing projects involving Saudi companies in the transport, logistics and energy sectors.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to continue cooperation in attracting investment, accelerating the implementation of infrastructure projects and developing new initiatives in key sectors of Uzbekistan’s economy.
