Uzbekistan, Saudi Arabia deepen diplomatic cooperation talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held talks on 3 May with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, focusing on key issues of bilateral and international cooperation.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Uzbek side conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from President Shavkat Mirziyoyev to King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman Al Saud of Saudi Arabia.

The interlocutors exchanged detailed views on current regional and international issues, with particular attention to the situation in the Middle East and the role of dialogue and diplomacy in addressing ongoing challenges.

The meeting noted the steady expansion of Uzbekistan–Saudi Arabia cooperation, reflecting the deepening of a partnership built on a strong and long-term foundation established by the leaders of both countries.

Following the talks, the two sides agreed to maintain close coordination and continue joint efforts to further strengthen multifaceted cooperation. The foreign ministries of Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia confirmed that deepening bilateral relations remains one of the priority areas of engagement.
