Uzbekistan, Russia Expand Farm Cooperation at INNOPROM
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — At the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia” held in Tashkent, a series of bilateral meetings continues aimed at expanding Uzbekistan’s international cooperation, including in the agricultural sector.
One of these meetings was held between the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Kahramon Yuldashev, and the Chairman of the Government of Russia’s Penza Region, Nikolay Simonov.
The parties discussed further development of trade and economic cooperation, more efficient use of existing opportunities, and the identification of new areas for collaboration. Special attention was given to establishing stable supply chains for agricultural and food products through cooperation with retail networks, as well as simplifying export and import procedures and increasing mutual trade turnover.
A separate part of the talks focused on cooperation in agricultural processing and agro-industrial production. The participants considered prospects for implementing joint projects and introducing modern technologies aimed at creating added value and improving sector efficiency.
The discussion also covered the expansion of supplies of agricultural machinery and equipment, as well as the introduction of advanced technical solutions to modernize production.
Following the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to consistently develop mutually beneficial cooperation, accelerate the practical implementation of projects, and strengthen long-term ties in the agricultural sector.
