Uzbekistan ratifies agreement to enhance land transport connectivity in Central Asia

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a resolution ratifying an international agreement aimed at strengthening land transport connectivity across Central Asia.

This agreement, which was signed on 14 September 2023, during the Consultative Meeting of Central Asian Heads of State in Dushanbe, commits to improving the region’s transport networks to enhance connectivity and cooperation.

Under the decree, Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Transport is designated as the responsible body for implementing the agreement’s provisions. Additionally, the Cabinet of Ministers, along with relevant ministries and agencies, will oversee and ensure compliance with the agreement once it comes into effect.
