Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Russian servicemen from the 201st Guards Military Base of Russia’s Central Military District have arrived in Uzbekistan to participate in the joint tactical exercises Hamkorlik-2026.
Russian units travelled more than 300 kilometres through mountainous areas of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in military and specialised vehicles before reaching the Termez training ground, the Central Military District said.
After arriving, the Russian servicemen began maintaining their equipment and preparing it for the active phase of the exercises.
The joint Uzbek-Russian tactical drills will take place at the Termez training ground from 20 to 27 October.
During the exercises, servicemen from both countries will practise coordinating operations to detect and destroy small groups of a simulated illegal armed formation in border areas.
The manoeuvres will involve mountain and assault units, crews operating reconnaissance and strike unmanned aerial vehicles, ground-based robotic systems and Mi-24 helicopters.
