Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — A high-level international event titled “UAE Zero Bureaucracy and Government Experience Exchange” was held in Washington as part of the World Bank and International Monetary Fund spring meetings, focusing on the exchange of experience in digital public administration.

The event was attended by the Chair of the National Committee on Statistics of Uzbekistan, Bekhzod Khamraev, who presented information on ongoing reforms in the country aimed at simplifying administrative procedures and advancing the digitalization of public services.

It was noted that since January 1, 2026, Uzbekistan has been implementing the “Zero Bureaucracy” program, which is part of the broader “Reducing Bureaucracy – 2030” strategy. The initiative aims to simplify the delivery of public services, reduce administrative burdens on citizens and businesses, and increase transparency in government processes.

During the event, measures were presented to digitalize public services, reduce the number of administrative procedures, and introduce a more citizen-centered service delivery model. Particular attention was given to expanding the use of statistical data, integrating administrative information systems, and reducing reporting requirements.

Participants also discussed the United Arab Emirates’ international experience in implementing zero-bureaucracy approaches and emphasized the importance of digital technologies in modernizing public administration systems.

The Uzbek side expressed readiness to further strengthen international cooperation, study advanced global practices, and continue improving the national public service delivery system.
