Uzbekistan PM Aripov to Visit China for Cooperation Talks

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulla Aripov will pay an official visit to the People’s Republic of China on 6–7 May 2026, where he will take part in a meeting of the Uzbekistan–China Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee, according to China’s Xinhua News Agency.

During the visit, Aripov will co-chair the 8th meeting of the intergovernmental mechanism together with Liu Guozhong, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council of the PRC. The two sides are expected to discuss the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation.

The Intergovernmental Cooperation Committee between Uzbekistan and China was established in 2011 and serves as a key platform for coordinating cooperation between the two countries in political, economic and humanitarian fields. The previous, seventh meeting of the committee was held on May 13, 2024 in Tashkent.

The upcoming meeting in Beijing is expected to continue the regular high-level dialogue and consider further expansion of cooperation between Uzbekistan and China across multiple areas.
