Uzbekistan, Orenburg Region Boost Agricultural Ties
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Within the framework of the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia,” held in Tashkent, a series of bilateral meetings took place aimed at developing cooperation between Uzbekistan and Russian regions in the agricultural sector.
One such meeting was held between the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Uzbekistan, Kahramon Yuldashev, and the First Deputy Minister of Agriculture, Trade, Food and Processing Industry of Russia’s Orenburg Region, Sergey Balkin.
The parties discussed further development of trade and economic relations, strengthening existing contacts, and identifying new areas of cooperation. Particular attention was paid to expanding exports of livestock products and oils and fats, as well as developing mutually beneficial mechanisms for cooperation in these segments.
The talks also addressed prospects for establishing effective cooperation between Uzbekistan’s processing and food industry enterprises and relevant organizations in the Orenburg Region. Issues of integrating production chains and implementing joint investment projects were also discussed.
Following the negotiations, the parties confirmed their intention to consistently develop mutually beneficial cooperation and elevate it to a new level.
